William Brinkman writes urban fantasy where the supernatural meets the suburban—and satire shares space with heartfelt storytelling. His Bolingbrook Babbler series explores conspiracies, emotions, and the occasional enraged weredeer. Since 1999, he’s also written the long-running Bolingbrook Babbler blog, a satirical take on paranormal journalism that inspired—but stands apart from—his novels. 

His work has appeared in Demon: The Fallen, and his novella A Fire in the Shadows was shortlisted for a 2024 Indieverse Award. 

William lives in suburban Chicagoland with his wife and two cats.
